Surface forms is an adaptable textural environment that evokes the scaling, fractal patterns seen throughout nature. Developed over many iterations, a natural, structural form emerges- an organic minimalism. Composed of a set of tetrahedral units of various sizes and complexities, the installation is adaptable to suit the locations where it is installed. Lighting is used to create a secondary texture of shadow sthat are cast into the surrounding space.

The material used is a custom, two-sided, high-pressure laminate from Wilsonart. Cut with a cellular pattern, the planar character of the material is transformed. Assembled into three-dimensional forms, the pieces exist as objects, but also partly remain as representations and abstractions. They are not completely real.
