As a part of the redesign of the College St. streetscape by PMA landscape Architecture, we created a series of BikePlant designs called “CityGrid”. Several sizes and shapes of BikePlants were used to make larger installations of up to six pieces that work together, creating visual interest without adding to street clutter. A number of standard benches from Dutch manufacturer Streetlife were also customized with an organic, grid-like pattern of holes that are back-lit for a warm glow at night.
